1 Hanson Place
Originally built in 1929 as the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower, 1 Hanson Place is amongst the world’s largest clock towers and was until 2010 Brooklyn’s tallest building at 37 floors and 156 meters tall. Designed in an art deco-informed Byzantine-Romanesque style, the Downtown Brooklyn tower was declared a New York City landmark in 1977 and was renovated into a luxury residential highrise in 2007.
