1949 Mercury Eight
This Lead Sled sports a flathead V8 engine. Believe it or not, she used to be a family car.
This Mercury was considered more powerful than its Ford counterpart of its day. The trick which spelled success for this car model according to the Mercury Eight wiki page was its ‘ponton’ appearance. This style of car sealed the deal on the transition from pre to post war car designs. Sales records in 1949 were broken due to this design, and has been a fan of customizers ever since.
This model was a sketchup conversion. Minor details were corrected such as adding windows, and new low poly tires. New textures for optimization were required for colour variations and AD adaptability. Enjoy!
