GTA: San Andreas Map
Features:
– Highway network connecting all three islands
– Ship connections (1 in San Fierro Bay & 1 in Los Santos Docks)
– 2 air connections covering the location of all 3 major airports
– Fertile land north of Los Santos, and in Whetstone area
– Ore around Mount Chiliad & Hunter Quarry
– Oil around Sherman Dam / Bone County, NE Las Venturas
This map fills the full 5×5 grid, so it’s actually a little bigger in scale than the real GTA:SA map, but I wanted it to be as detailed as possible and making it 1:1 (which would have just fit in the 3×3 grid) wouldn’t have cut it. If you’re wanting this map, I recommend you play with a mod that allows you access to all 25 grid spaces.
There’s a road going up Mount Chiliad. It doesn’t follow the exact path as in-game (since the terrain isn’t detailed enough for that), and it’s currently built with an on ramp (as the map editor only lets you use highway pieces). If you’re wanting a dirt track going up there, my advice is to use the upgrade tool rather than demolish/rebuild, as doing so will probably mess up the terrain and make it impossible to build on.
I’ve marked the approximate location of Sherman Dam with a piece of highway. The in-game dam is more curved than that, however, and will probably sit a little bit lower so you may have to mess with it for a while to connect it up to a road.
Lastly, you may find there are some roads that seem to un-necessarily jut out over the water and sometimes cut mountains in two. This is because C:S doesn’t have tunnels, so I had to make comprimises in order to stay faithful to the game’s road network.
