Gothic Revival Farmhouse
What was supposed to be a recreation of the SimCity 4 2 Story House from the Chicago Tileset quickly turned into a different home entirely. Not that I mind, I think it’s pretty.
Gothic Revival and Carpenter Gothic homes were popular during the first half of the 19th century (don’t quote me on any of the architectural information I provide though!). They are often marked by either extreme simplicity or fancy ornamentation. Also, the gothic-styled windows are a dead giveaway (in this asset, the attic windows). If you Google Images search “Gothic House”, you’ll sometimes also end up with pictures of Second Empire houses. That was a different architectural style completely (if I do make a Second Empire house, know that it will be one of the last homes in the Americana Collection. I expect it to be grand, but very tedious to make).

As always, please inform me of any errors with the asset. My modlist is broken so I haven’t actually played the game to test any of my more recent assets out (and I’m not playing vanilla!). Though I’m aware of the mediocre job the computer performed in creating a LOD, so I will revist this eventually to give it a proper LOD.
