Resident Travel Rebalance v1.1
Version 1.6.0-f4 compatible.
This mod is to change the probabilities of the mode of transportation that residents take according to the wealth and age of the person and the residential density where the person lives.
Specifically, this was created because my main mod (Realistic Population and Consumption Mod) was lacking the car traffic that I wanted to see for low density.
The default mod values have been tuned for the above mod at default values. However, this mod is designed to be used independently.
This means that low density residents travel a lot more by car, while high density effectively halve their car use, compared to the vanilla game.
The XML will be first created when active on exit from a city. A file named WG_ResidentTravel.xml will appear in below directories.
Location by OS
Windows = C:Users<username>AppDataLocalColossal OrderCities_Skylines
Mac = /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Colossal Order/Cities_Skylines
Linux = /home/<username>/.local/share/Colossal Order/Cities_Skylines
Changed values in the file will be seen on loading a different city or loading from the main menu.
The game will do a probability check against each of the modes of car (or motorbike), bicycle and taxi to determine if either of those three modes will be used to travel. There is a fourth option which should be walking or public transport and is the default case if the first three are not taken.
The numbers along the row do not need to add to 100.
If there are any exceptions found in parsing, then that entire line in the XML will not be used and default values, or the last successfully loaded values will appear.
To return everything to defaults, delete the file before starting Cities Skylines.
WG Citizen Life Rebalance (this mod is included)
There are three presets in the source directory of the mod (SteamSteamAppsworkshopcontent255710541673195)
One is the game default (which is flat) and one for heavier car usage for low density.
There is one where car usage is based off wealth levels and is quite high.
