Richard J. Daley Center,Located in Chicago, Illinois. Formerly known as the Chicago Civic Center, it was renamed shorty after Chicago’s longest running mayor’s death in 1976. At the time of its completion, this building was the tallest in Chicago for 4 years until the John Hancock Center was completed.
With 30 floors, a height of 648ft(198m), this building is tallest in the world that is fewer than 40 stories. Also using nature to its advantage. As the self weathering steal begins to rust. It will expand, strengthing its structure and give its brown redish color. Designed by Jacques Brownson, this building earns its spot amongest Chicago’s architectural highlights.
