Corner Alder Park Left 6×4
Corner Alder Park
There are lots of chances that we draw roads turning right angles. The outer corner yields a not zoneable area. There are situations where we wish to make use of, decorate or just fill up such an empty space.
So, let’s construct an asset for such a corner by the roadside. My idea is a simple park with plenty of trees, which can offer the neighborhood a place to hang out, and passing by travellers car-parking to take a break.
This corner park is for roads with a 2u width. It has 2 frontages each with 6u opening, a depth of 4u, and 10×10 overall at the back.
The L-shape is formed by putting together 2 separate parts, the left and the right. having different widths. Each part on its own is but a rectangle.
To achieve the symmetric L-shape, subscriptions to both parts are required:
Left 6×4:
Right 10×4:
When plopping this park, if immediately by its sides there are no adjacent buildings or roads, we can draw a pair of short gravel roads perpendicular to the main road at 6u away from the turn. They act as temporary guides to help snap the left and right parts to the main road at the intended positions, and then can be bulldozed.
Base on this idea, everyone can use the asset editor to make a variety of their own corner parks.
Enjoy!
