ACTS 1200 Coke Train
A freight train made out of DB Cargo Falns hoppers loaded with coke (the fuel, not that other stuff) and a 1200 series engine in ACTS livery.
25 of these 6 axled powerhouses were build for both passenger and freight train use from 1951 onwards. After ending service with the NS in 1999, 5 were sold to ACTS, who used them until 2009. Today at least two engines are still in service (owned by EETC), one for HSL Logistik and one pulling the ‘Panorama Rail Restaurant’. Others are scrapped, in reserve or in a museum.
– 120 km/h
– 9 hoppers, same capacity as a default cargo train.
