American High Speed Passenger Train
Who says the US doesn’t have true high speed rail? Because they’re sort of right.
With a top speed of 145 miles per hour, and an average speed of barely half that, the Citylink Cityflyer is an attempt to modernize the Citylink Northeast Corridor. Perfect for regions of dense cities and highly populated areas, the Cityflyer is a comfortable and convenient alternative to shuttle flights. Inspired by Amtrak’s Acela Express trains, this is a full high-speed trainset made up of 2 power cars, a first class car, a cafe car, and 3 business class cars (one with the prototypical single vestibule). It is fully After Dark compatible, and painted in a heavily Amtrak inspired (though somewhat different) livery! Enjoy!
Unlike my usual passenger trains, this one does NOT feature line colors and will always appear in the CityLink Cityflyer blob livery. This train will slightly overhang most stations for Cities:Skylines, but this was necessary to create a more realistic length of train.
For best results, download Vehicle Effects! This train comes with flashing ditch lights, horns, and custom sounds, as well as directional lighting.
