Amtrak Acela Express
I proudly present you my latest project: the Acela Express.
304 Cims can take a ride at 240 km/h (150 mp/h).
You should only decide to use this model if you have a large network without many curves (so the train can reach its top-speed) ?
It is best used for outside connections as I coosed more realistic values (e.g. lower acceleration, less powerfull brakes, less leaning…)
If you are searching for a decent, shorter and more simple Acela go over to Tim The Terribles version:
Furthermore I suggest you to install the Rail Track Speed Increaser created by DontCryJustDie:
Now it’s time for a final note:
* If you are using Advanced Vehicle Options: When you replace the last car with the engine to get light-cones, while the train changes direction a gap will happen between this and the last “real” car. This is nothing I can fix by now.
Have much fun with this one ?
ANNOUNCEMENT: All trains released by now will get updates soon. those updates are including rescaling, decrease of file sizes, mesh edits and unifying looks. This is caused by comparison each to the other and trying to figure out a way to measure correct scaling (I do this using the light source values as they seem to be in meters).
