This map is inspired by the real-world region around the towns Bad Staffelstein and Lichtenfels in Upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. There are small differences with the real counterpart though.
The skyline of the valley is dominated by the Staffelberg mountain and the bell towers of two big churches: the basilica of Vierzehnheiligen (Fourteen Saints) and the monastery church of Banz (which are emulated through workshop assets).
Blooming rapeseed fields and cherry trees give a spring look to the map.
Nevertheless, the map has plenty of flat space for city building around the river Main, where the starting tile is located.
TECHNICAL NOTES
Remember to subscribe my custom theme and all required assets!
Screenshots have been taken with the Definite Vision LUT. You may try Realistic v.1.2 if you like a more saturated look.
There are a lot of trees, quite close to the tree limit, so you may need the Unlimited Trees mod if you want to add many more. Nevertheless, the map is playable without it.
The rapeseed fields have high poly count and might affect performance on lower end systems. In that case, you may want to delete some of them with the bulldoze function of “Move It!”.
