Blue Cross Blue Shield
With neighbors like the Aon Center, the Prudential buildings, and 340 on the Park, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower stands at the forefront of Chicago’s skyline. It was originally only 33 stories tall, but after about ten years its owners built another 24 stories right on top of it.
Because of its prominent position overlooking Michigan Avenue and Millenium Park, the tenants of this building often light up the windows to display slogans in support of local causes / sports teams. That isn’t available on this model, but we can use our imagination.
With this building, the first “layer” of Chicago’s skyline is more or less complete. But this asset is certainly a welcome addition to any downtown!
