Brainerd Tower (water tower)
This is the old water tower from Brainerd, Minnesota[en.wikipedia.org], USA. It was constructed between 1918 and 1921. It was one of the first poured-concrete water towers in the country. The architext was L P Wolff who designed a nearly identical tower in Pipestone Minnesota around the same time. The main differences, aside from Brainerd’s tower having double the capacity, is the crenelations on the top, absent from the Pipestone tower. The Brainerd water tower is It is 141′ tall and held 300,000 gallons of water when in use.
The tower sometimes is affectionately called Paul Bunyan’s Flashlight or Paul Bunyan’s Cup.
