Click the green “Subscribe” button above. The next time Cities Skylines is booted up the mod will be available under the Content Manager in the main menu.
When in-game, pressing Ctrl+C will toggle the Challenge Options panel.
Browse the installed challenges for one you would like to complete. Click the green ‘Select’ button to start the challenge.
Ctrl+C will cycle through these windows.
YES! All challenges located in the “Challenges.xml” file under the ‘Challenges’ folder in the games root directory. Feel free to modify this to allow for more difficult or complex challenges. As of Update 1.1 you can now add your own XML files to this directory. Here[github.com] is the documentation for making your very own challenge.
You can make live changes to any challenge XML files. Just be sure to click the refresh button in the Challenge Options so it loads any changes.
If you would like to upload your own challenges use this tool[github.com]
Currently, there are some issues with loading the challenges state from the map save. I would highly recommend that you start a new city or to try the challenges on cities that you dont care about until I get the loading to be more stable. Fixed as of Update 1.1
A Deadlines rule will be added as soon as I can finish testing them. This allows challenges to have a defined timeframe to be completed within.
More resources/stats will be added. If you wish to have a resource added post your request in the discussion thread titled “Resource/Stat Requests”. I will be updating these in batches, hopefully weekly.
I wish to add additional ways to create the goals within each challenge to allow for more complex rules such as requiring the player to constantly stay within a range of values.
