Commercial High Traffic District Piece 2/3
2-CHT – Entry by Brian
Commercial High Traffic District Puzzle
Since the Industry Area works pretty well i now added an even better commercial district that works
with only 3 pieces. You do need to draw 3 very simple 6-lane 1-way straights due to the connection bug though.
Before you subsribe to this, please note the following:
This district takes full use of the game mechanics as they are right now – one might say: exploit the system.
If you can’t live with it, don’t subsribe and even more important: don’t flame! I’ll add another version sooner or later that won’t offend you.
In the state the game is right now, neither services nor delivery trucks need a way back home. When they arrive at their destination, finished the service/delivery and don’t find a way back the vehicles just despawn without any downside for the city.
And since the commercial area does’nt export anything i take full use of this and it works perfect.
The setup should be build like that – see the screenshots in part #1 (1-CHT – Highway):
– 1 –
3 2 3
3 – 3
Once build all you have to do is connect the highway and fill the missing pieces of that incoming 6-way 1-way road.
As with the industrial area you can setup a firestation and a police headquater (plus hospital+crematorium) directly at the beginning to cover the whole area with services. the incinerator you could place next to the cargo trainstation.
The trainstation itself is not covered though, so you might connect it either to one of the deadends of this area or to another of your adjacent districts.
To keep residents off the roads i added room for 4 subwaystations and connected all areas with pedestrian walks for their convenience.
You need the following three assets to completely build it:
1-CHT-Highway+Station
2-CHT-Entry
3-CHT-Branch
It fits perfectly with my other district (Industrial Heavy Traffic). In case you have enough space available build the commercial next to the industrial district and connect it via cargo train. Works like a charm ?
I hope you enjoy it.
