D.A. Morr Transfer Building
When David Morr’s original warehouse burned down in 1904, the need for a sturdier, “Fireproof” warehouse became obvious. In 1906, D.A. Morr Transfer & Storage Co. erected their improved fireproof warehouse adjacent to the Kansas City Freightyards. The building, so far, has lived up to it’s claim surviving the original company and living on as office space in the Kansas City Crossroads district. Company names from tenants long past can still be read on the side of the building.
