AFL (Australian Rules Football) Sport Oval Park Aussie
This is my first ever 3D modeling project, I’ve had to learn to use Blender to make this. It’s pretty simple shapes, but just trying to get myself familiar with the program and Cities Skylines modeling. Had to learn what UV wrapping and all that is.
I had some issues with my original upload, with some popin issues. I’ve changed the ground texture to be a cube shape, and that seems to fix it in my game, so hopefully that works out for everyone.
If anyone has a some good tips in fixing some bugs, or has any advice/tutorial to send for a proper import process that would be great. I couldn’t find much info so just had to work most of the stuff out through trial and error.
[BUG] I’m aware of the bright green grass when you select the footy field i’m not quite sure why Skylines has registered the texture like that. So thats just something I couldn’t figure out properly with the import 3D modeling process of the game. Hopefully I can figure out to fix it in future when there are some more guides out there for the best process. Otherwise it seems to look fine in-game.Cities Skylines import process seems very very inconsistent.
The stats are based of the Large Playground, it’s cheaper though. But go ahead and change the values to whatever you want.
There are some parking spots next to the ground, and it’s best to not place this on slopes, the ground texture can’t quite match up properly when it’s not completely straight. It will still work though, an then add some trees around the oval, and it should blend in with your city.
The ground probably needs to be bigger too, but 12×12 is pretty much the largest I can make it.
