Frontenac Shores
From beneath the forgotten perch of Garnison Frontenac, the Canadian Shield extends into the horizon. Frontenac Shores is a Quebec inspired map, which is dominated by an enormous central lake. This lake is fed by, and pours out along the only river in the map, and features a handful of islands. The numerous surrounding lakes also make “faux-islands” in how the land is distributed.
The map has 44% buildable area around the shores of the central lake, as well as on the islands. It contains three sets of highway connections, three sets train connection, one air route, but no shipping lanes, because after all, you’re inland. It also features ore almost everywhere, a couple of fertile zones, and 162,700 trees, which leaves you with just under 90,000 trees to decorate your city. The map is also optimized for vanilla play, but the screenshots above utilize MrMiyagi’s Alps Dolomites Theme.
