Great Lighthouse #TEMPTED
The Great Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, was the highest lighthouse ever constructed up until the 20th century – between 115 and 160m (377 – 524ft). It was located next to the small island of Pharos outside of the port of Alexandria in Egypt and thus often itself named Pharos of Alexandria. Destroyed by two earthquakes in 1303 and 1323, the tower’s stones were used to contruct a Mamluk fortress around 1480.

The lighthouse can be placed freely anywhere (i. e. sea, shore or land, see images above). It does not require a road connection, water or electricity, nor does it produce waste or noise – more a sort of decorative building, though it does attract tourists and visitors when accessible.
