Kansas City Power and Light Building
Constructed during the Great Depression (in 1931) as a way to promote new jobs in Downtown Kansas City, the Power and Light Building with it’s Art Deco structure and glowing lantern has been a prominent feature in the Kansas City skyline.
After two proposals for the building to become part of a hotel and convention center were turned down, as of 2015, it now serves as a luxury apartment complex.
