L2 4×4 WHH GT 18
WHH GT 18 is a type of standard residential high-rise building used in the DDR. The architects Helmut Stingl and Joachim Seifert developed this building type from 1969 until 1971 in large panel construction for mixed-use housing in East Berlin.
The acronym refers to the type WHH (Wohnhochhaus, residential tower), the GT stands for Großtafelbauweise (applied large-panel construction), and 18 for the number of storeys.
Higher then then the mostly used WBS 70 buildings, the WHH GT 18 was meant as an Landmark, around Subwaystations or important Roads.
