Mangrove Beach – A Florida West Coast Map
Seeing errors? Here’s the solution. You may experience an error when opening many people’s workshop maps. There is a simple cause, but it took a while for modders to figure out how to fix this until / if the developers can find a way around this.
Before it was not a problem if you did not want to subscribe to custom trees on maps. They just opened without the custom trees. Now, the game has changed so that extra trees will show an object error and not let you proceed, not just for you players, but also for us map makers! I couldn’t get in to my own maps.
Now, we’re in luck: Katalyst has added a new function to his unlimited trees mod that tells the game to ignore that error.
– Before opening a problem map or starting a new city with a problem map, activate this mod in content manager.
– Now go to the options menu, look at the lower left, click this mod’s tab, and then instead of “DoNothing” you will want to select “replace” or “remove” in the new module’s dropdown.
– Now open your problem map (mapmakers) / start your new city (players) – It should work now!
There might be other issues out there that have the same symptoms but are not caused by a tree, but at least for the maps of mine that I have checked, this has solved it. .

Mangrove Beach is an imaginary, fully hand made map, with the terrain and interstate style found on Florida’s West Coast.
This was a map location requested by lazysmurf, and I thank him for all the great ideas and contribution!
There are a lot of really interesting bits of land, beaches, mangrove islands… waterfront property abounds!
Part of the idea behind this map was to allow for a very large city. Tons of resources available, and the pre-existing interstate and rail system that I set down should help your businesses thanks to such a strong infrastructure.
As opposed to my other maps, this map is, like Florida, extremely flat and at a low level. Tunnels are possible on the land, but across the water only between the land and mangrove islands, and across the causeways. A bit of added realism and a challenge for you.
There are extensive connections via rail and interstate, and you will notice a lot of ships. This is because the routes wind around, ensuring you can place a harbor at most any location.
