Mega Traffic Divider
5 loops. 2 underground, 3 on the surface. Needs 2 external highway inputs. Each input is looped back to generate transit. I like to use traffic comming from the right for industrial and traffic from the left for everything else. You will have to build a splitter for the 2 traffic flows. From bottom to the top:
Level 1 loop has it’s highway input at the top right, and output at the top left. Closed loop, intended for industrial export/import.
Level 2 loop has it’s highway input/output at the top and bottom middle respectively. Intended for Comertial import when inhouse production is unavailable. Closed loop for transit.
Level 3 is the first surface loop and the largest one. Intended for inhouse traffic for services such as garbage, ambulance etc.. Hook it up however you like.
Level 4 is the first beam supported loop. It’s intended for internal Industrial <-> Commertial trarffic when the goods needed are produced inhouse. Closed loop, transit from right to left.
Level 5 is the highest beam supported loop. Intended for tourists and zone-to-zone travel (i.e another 2×2 km square). The ramps are upgradeable.
You’ll have to design your town around this junktion, it assumes compartmentalization of areas, where the industrial, comertial and residential areas all have non intersecting loops. As such you’d need to use public transportation for your citizens or risk clogging up a loop if you merge traffic.
Warning: Untested, this is theoretical.
Warning: Very hard to place. You will probably need to flatten/soften terrain.
Warning: Due to the high cost, it’s unsuitable for your starting zone.
