Nova LFS40
Based off the design used by the TTC in Toronto.
The TTC’s history with these buses actually dates back to 1998 when they tested out the first generation version of the LFS. While the TTC was impressed they decided to go with the New Flyer D40LF’s at the time. With the 60 foot articulated version of these buses being a success, the TTC decided to purchase 55 of the 40 foot, non-articulated versions in 2014. These buses were originally intended to replace the SRT during its conversion to LRT but after the “circus” rolled through Toronto they have been used to replace the now retired Orion V fleet. A further order of 50 more LFS40’s was placed in 2015.
