NS 1200 Passenger Train
A passenger train made out of ‘Plan E’ passenger cars and a 1200 series engine. 25 of these 6 axled powerhouses were build for both passenger and freight train use from 1951 onwards. After ending service with the NS in 1999, 5 were sold to ACTS, who used them until 2009. Today at least two engines are still in service (owned by EETC), one for HSL Logistik and one pulling the ‘Panorama Rail Restaurant’. Others are scrapped, in reserve or in a museum.
