Old Style Highliner (6 cars)
The Illinois Central Railroad took delivery of the first of these Highliners in 1971 for the IC Electric service in South Chicago and the suburbs.
They later passed to Metra, and were retired in 2016.
This model is based on an almost “as-delivered” Highliner, with the exception that originally the cab was painted black, later painted orange for safety reasons. This version is colorable, with a Chirpy in place of the Illinois Central logo.
Stats:
2627 triangles per car.
1024×512 texture sheet.
Auto-LOD. (I swear it looks OK.)
156 passengers per car.
This is the 6-car version. It will stick out of stations a bit. If you don’t like that, get the 4-car version.
