Owl’s Los Angeles Theme
The are no visual mods in screenshots but the LUT
I’ve built the theme on my LUTs : Owl’s Cinematic HD v1 and Owl’s 70s Vintage -NEW- which you can find in the Cinematic LUT Pack :
MAP:
– MAKE SURE – to reset your visual mods and their options according to vanilla game. IE: Eye Candy, Daylight Classic, No Radioactive Desert.
– DO NOT DISABLE – Distance Fog! If you are using Cloud & Fog Toggler Mod. Otherwise highly contrasted luts will make it truely dark.
TEXTURE SPECS:
Grass Custom – 4K
Cliff Custom – 1K
Ruined Custom – 1K
Ore&Oil Custom – 1K
Sand Custom – 1K
Cliff, Sand & Water NMaps Custom -1K
Pavement & Gravel Vanilla
I don’t change pavement texture into any kind of non-flat colored tiling texture because since it is projected to the top view, it causes more obvious stretched look on the vertical surface of the dam.
Useful Tip:While painting your map by using resources, paint with high brush strenght (0.30 – 0.60) and then erase with low strenght to get the best transitions. (between 0.01 – 0.09) Alpha mask on textures will do the rest for you.
Cliff Textures may look repetitive on other maps. Blame the creator of the map. I create top realistic maps on workshop so I believe you wouldn’t see any repetition on my maps. Diagonal transparency will give you the layered look of the underground.
+ Preview image has been changed into recognizable one.
+ Ore Texture’s tiling scale has been increased, alpha mask is more obvious and %5 less saturated. Now you can paint the map with an excelent transition.
