Prop Scaling 0.3 [Experimental ALPHA]
UPDATE 23/04/17 18:20 CEST: Added HOME key shortcut to reset the scale of currently selected prop to default.
WARNING: Props are delicate things, some props don’t like to be scaled, they will stretch and deform. Most props however can be scaled safely. Please be careful what you do. This is different from plant scaling, because well, plants are just plants. Props are different. If you make a giant table, or whatever, its your own problem, i just provide this for the hell of it, I am not responsible if you go crazy with it and ruin your city.
If you find that you’ve ruined things too much delete xml file. Read further down.
NOTE: Scale changes are applied to all instances of the asset you modify. Sadly I am not able to make it work on individual instances. For now, this is as good as it gets.
How does it work?
Select a prop in the menu using FindIt! or More Beautification.
Hold CTRL + Press UP or DOWN arrows to change MinScale.
Hold ALT + Press UP or DOWN arrows to change MaxScale.
Hold CTRL + ALT and press UP or Down arrows to change both Max and Min Scale.
Hold down RIGHT arrow together with the above to increase/decrease faster.
When you release the keys, LODs will be updated on whole city. This can cause some lag momentarily.
By increasing the difference between min and max scale, you can have more size variations.
If you change scale so that both min and max scale are same, all props of that type will be of equal size.
Scale changes are saved to XML file and are global. ie. they will apply to all cities.
WARNING: Some props don’t behave properly when scaled. They will stretch in weird ways and I don’t know why. This mod is experimental in that sense. Please be careful with your scaling. If you feel you’ve ruined things, just delete the XML file called PropScaling.xml located at AppDataLocalColossal OrderCities_Skylines
This mod has not been tested for compatibility with other mods, please let me know if you find conflicts.
Let me know if you find bugs! Mod is still in “beta”.
This mod saves all changes to a XML file and thus cannot corrupt your saves. You can safely remove the mod at any time, and all props will revert to default size.
