Rohr Industries Transit Vehicle (Metro)
In the 1960s and 70s, the now defunct Rohr Industries made a foray into mass transit equipment manufacturing. They built the original railcars for Bay Area Rapid Transit as well as the first batch of cars for the Washington DC Metro. These cars are based on BART’s A and B series cars which are still in service today.
