Skyscape 1
- Daytime sky to a tint with less green in it, difference is very subtle. See 1st image.
- More intense sunset/sunrise tints. See 2nd image.
- Sun size. The sun is larger.
- Sunlight intensity. This mod sets the sunlight intensity to the same value as Daylight Classic, but doesn’t change the color of the light. If you already use Daylight Classic, you won’t see a difference here. If you don’t you will notice a change in brightness.
- Moon texture. This mod replaces the game’s moon texture to a higher resolution image, allowing us to increase its size without compromising definition. See 4th image.
- Moon size. This mod makes you moon about twice as large as vanilla. See 4th image.
- Moon coronas colors. This mod changes the moon coronas to a yellowish color. (Coronas are essentially two color overlays on top of the moon, one inner and one outer. These are changeable to any color, allowing us to have blue, red, yellow moons, or any color for that matter. This mod uses yellow.) See 4th image.
- Moonlight intensity. Nights are now brighter to the point where you can almost build without needing a light. I like it this way to emulate a full moon night, as the game doesn’t support moon cycle(yet). See 5th image.
- Night Sky cubemap. This mod replaces the default night sky with a custom skybox I made using Space Scape(free skybox generating tool) See 3rd image.
- Outer space intensity. The night sky is brighter, showing more stars/nebulae. See 3rd image.
- Stars intensity. Since the skybox I made already features a huge amount of stars, I removed the game stars entirely, as they were not very fitting with the new skybox.
- Night horizon color. This mod sets the night horizon to the same color as the rest of the sky, for a more beautiful look at night. 4th image.
- Other stuff. Some other settings are changed but not really going to explain everything right now.
Moon Phases mod conflicts with this in that it also changes aspects of the night sky, including the moon, horizon colors, moonlight brightness, among others. Pick one, don’t use both.
This mod is just an example of the things we can do to the sky.
The most evident differences from vanilla skies are during the night, as pretty much everything has changed there.
During the day you may not notice much of a difference, but rest assured, it’s there ?
I understand not everyone will like the settings I picked, but such is life, can’t have it all ?
I hope you enjoy this little mod as much as I enjoyed researching, making and testing it.
THIS MOD CHANGES THE SKY ON ALL BIOMES.
Comparison shots were made using a tropical biome.
Normally the game has different settings depending on the environment type(a.k.a. Biome) of the map you’re playing on. This mod will change the sky on all biomes to this mod’s settings. If you want to go back to your normal sky, just disable this mod on content manager, or unsubscribe.
SADLY.. I have not been able to find how to replace the day-time skybox like I did for the night. It may be that there isn’t one, and what we see is made with just colors and other settings, or it may be that I just haven’t figured it out yet. I really hope to find that missing link though, so we can make stormy/cloudy skies, etc. But for now we have to be content with what we have ?
This mod includes 7 1024x1024px png images, 6 for the night sky, and one for the moon, hence the 4mb download size.
Last two screenshots taken using large FOV setting using nlight’s FPSCamera mod. (It’s awesome.)

I’m currently unemployed and any donations are extremely appreciated. Will allow me to continue working on stuff like this and have more time to learn more.
