Stabilization Basin
Stabilization ponds use a natural process for wastewater treatment that employs a combination of macrophytic plants, substrates and microorganisms in a more or less artificial pond to treat wastewater.
The technique is frequently used to treat municipal wastewater, industrial effluent, municipal run-off or stormwater.
This structure may be placed anywhere on the map without road access. It does not require power or any services, and it can be placed at any angle. Just attach a water/sewage pipe!
It creates a decent amount of ‘noise pollution’ NIMBY horrible smell.
It is very inexpensive and barely costs any maintenance at all; but it’s drainage capacity is very low. You’ll want another solution to wastewater to suppliment this basin.
