Stadler EC250 "Giruno"
Stadler EC250 Giruno by REV0
Hello.
This is my first project on CS and in Blender, so I hope you’ll like it and find the asset useful for your cities.
Decscription
The Stadler EC250 is a high-speed electric multiple unit train under development by Stadler Rail of Switzerland for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). According to Stadler Rail, it is to be the world’s first single-decker low-floor high-speed train.
SBB 2035
Stadler EC250 will be the first part of my project of SBB 2035 fleet in Cities Skylines. Swiss Federal Railways have a plan of refurbising its existing fleet by the 2035 with new trains, in order to answer the increasing passenger numbers and aging fleet.
EC250, “Giruno” is still in test phase, it was supposed to be built by 2017 and start test runs. Therefore, the train actually doesn’t “physically” exist.
Model Information:
– Train is composed of 5 different trailers, including: 1st class Engine, 1st class car, 2nd class cars, SBB Resto, 2nd class end car (modeled as engine)
– 2K textures
– Can carry 450ish passengers (can be changed through AVO)
– It tops 200km
– AD compatible. While I did model it on SF CS, I haven’t tested it on Snow map, should be ok though.

REVO’s Roadmap
I’m planning to do the following, assuming that I will have time to allocate:
– International version of EC250, which can be colored by the user.
– Bombardier Twindexx SBB version (SBB 2035)
– Bombardier Twindexx International variant (colored by user)
– Different variants of both Twindexx models.
– Stadler KISS Dosto (SBB 2035)
– Some other trains which are in concept state.
Honorable mentions:
I need to mention the community of Simtropolis for their assistance through the modeling and texturing phase, they helped me in many cases, mainly importing the asset and some modeling tips. You’re awesome guys.
