Completed in 1972, the Transamerica Pyramid is the tallest and most emblematic skyscraper in San Francisco’s skyline. Designed in the “Futurist” style by architect William Pereira, it stands at 853 ft. (260m) and got its iconic shape to allow sunlight to reach the streets below.
